WELCOME TO THE ALBION BREWERY BAR
Situated in the old Phipps Brewery building at the bottom of Bridge Street, The Albion Brewery Bar provides the perfect showcase for the resurgent Phipps NBC and a warm and welcoming environment to enjoy our range of award winning beers. Not only can you sit down with one of the finest pints of ale in the whole county but you can enjoy a wide variety of live music most weekends showcasing a whole host of the finest talent Northamptonshire and beyond have to offer making this a vibrant and exciting place to spend your weekends. On top of all of this excitement we also offer a great range of wholesome and authentic pub food to keep you fuelled up while you sample everything this amazing venue has to show you.
We are open from 6pm Wednesday to 5pm Sunday for fine ales, cider, lager, wines & spirits including Phipps Gins distilled in the brewery. Our 8 hand pumps feature home brewed Phipps ales and Saxbys local real cider.
If you’re still looking for something a little different then why not have a go on our Northamptonshire Skittles table or try your hand at Bar Billiards? It’s certainly a little different from your usual pub entertainment and you might just find a new calling in your life!
We have added an oak and glass partition between the bar and brewery so customers can view the brewing process as they drink . Each day will bring a cabaret of mashing, sparging, racking and cleaning as Phipps staff go about their business of creating our beers. Almost all the bar’s fittings are reclaimed with many coming from old closed Phipps pubs. We have kept the space true to its origins as a working brewhouse so you can drink ale with the smallest carbon footprint in the county but the biggest taste and the longest history.
